My Experience

The Beginning

My journey into Shopify development started with updating my family's jewelry store to use Shopify. I taught myself how to modify code in the free themes and navigate the numerous limitations Shopify had in its early days.

2008-2011

Freelancing in a Hobby Land

I started a personal sewing blog called Pile O’ Fabric, which led to me developing and launching custom websites for multiple clients in the sewing industry, enhancing their online presence and customer engagement. I also successfully transitioned my own sewing blog, Pile O' Fabric, into a thriving online fabric shop on Shopify, showcasing my skills in web development and sewing instruction.

2012-2016

Developing Shopify Themes

I was a front end developer at Underground, a leading Shopify theme builder known for creating top-selling themes in the Shopify theme store. Through this role, I gained extensive knowledge of Shopify, mastering its features and functionalities. I focused on clean, flexible, and customizable development allowing merchants to create exceptional e-commerce experiences.

2017-2022

Senior Development in an Agency World

Today, I am a Senior Front End Shopify Developer at DYODE, a full-service Shopify agency. In this role, I works with a diverse range of clients, from home town businesses like The Bruery to established brands like AG Jeans. With a deep understanding of Shopify’s capabilities, I excels in building and maintaining high-quality e-commerce sites that enhance user experience and drive conversions.
